Missouri Senate Bill 376 Rulemaking
After through discussions and workshops with many parties, the Missouri Public Service Commission published rules in 2011 to implement the Missouri Energy Efficiency Investment Act (SB376).
In December 2011, KCP&L filed the first energy efficiency plan in the state under the Missouri Energy Efficiency Investment Act. Click here for more information.
Kansas Energy Efficiency
In June 2010 KCP&L made an energy efficiency filing before the Kansas Corporation Commission to create sustainable energy efficiency programs. After being unable to reach consensus with a number of stakeholders, KCP&L withdrew its proposal and also froze a number of its Kansas programs until a better energy efficiency framework is in place.
In November 2011, the KCC announced it would open another docket (12-GIMX-337-GIV) to further study energy efficiency options.
